The Department of Transport and Planning is seeking a highly capable and collaborative leader to oversee the School Crossings Assessment Program. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring safe and effective school crossing environments across Victoria, working closely with local councils, schools, and government partners to deliver sustainable and evidence-based outcomes.
We’re looking for someone who brings strategic insight, strong analytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex, cross-government challenges. Success in this role relies on exceptional influencing and relationship-building skills, enabling effective engagement with senior stakeholders and the resolution of sensitive issues with confidence and tact. The ideal candidate will lead with innovation, driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of collaboration and creativity across teams.
Qualifications and experienceMandatory
Degree or Certificate in Civil Construction or Civil Design (or equivalent)
Ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships particularly with local government, state government, community, and industry.
Desirable
Transport or civil design experience.
