About the role
This position is responsible for managing a network of vehicle dealerships who are engaged to deliver new and Used vehicle and transfer of registration services to customers. The role will be required to build effective relationships with relevant stakeholder and influential industry groups.
We are seeking a strategic and adaptable leader with proven experience in delivering complex programs, managing large-scale partner networks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and performance standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong critical thinking, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills, with the ability to drive strategic outcomes, foster collaboration, and deliver business improvements in a dynamic environment.
Please note that this position has staff reporting to the incumbent in two locations (Ringwood and Sunshine) which will require location visits on occasions.

Position accountabilities
– Effectively lead, manage, motivate and develop team members to support and deliver the immediate, interim and long term operational and technical needs of critical vehicle safety, certification and registration schemes.
– Exercise independent professional judgement to lead and manage the operational and delivery needs of the vehicle safety, certification and registration schemes, in accordance with strategic corporate initiatives, requirements and performance indicators.
– Use specialist expertise to brief, advise and make recommendations to high level stakeholders in matters relating to vehicle safety, certification and registration, sometimes in the absence of defined operational policies and procedures.
– Lead and encourage the application of creative and advanced problem-solving skills to resolve complex operational issues and queries of a vehicle safety, certification and registration nature in consultation and collaboration with experts across government and industry bodies.
– Identify, propose, lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives and projects to advance endorsed Business Area and Divisional strategies and plans.
– Proactively and confidently partner and work collaboratively with key internal and external peers and stakeholders and demonstrate advanced negotiation and influencing skills to achieve endorsed business outcomes and deliverables.
Qualifications and experience
– Victorian Driver License without any restriction which preclude the incumbent from performing the inherent requirements of the position and which cannot be reasonably accommodated by the Department. (mandatory)
– Qualifications or demonstrated experience in project/program delivery (desirable)
