We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and reliable Education Support (ES) Level 1- 2 staff member to join our team as a Skills-Based Treatment (SBT) Implementer. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a young learner by supporting their communication, regulation, and engagement skills through a warm, relationship-centred approach.
Working under the guidance of the classroom teacher and SBT Coach, the SBT Implementer will support the delivery of structured SBT sessions, follow established protocols, and help create a safe, joyful, and inclusive environment where students can thrive.

Position Overview
The SBT Implementer works under the direction and supervision of the classroom teacher and/or the SBT Coach/Consultant to support students participating in Skills-Based Teaching(SBT). The role focuses on building strong, trusting relationships with students, following clear plans, and supporting the delivery of structured, evidence-informed learning and regulation activities.
Staff at this level work under routine direction and are not required to design programs but are responsible for carrying out established procedures safely, consistently, and with high levels of care.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supporting Delivery of SBT Sessions
Build rapport, trust, and a sense of safety with the student.
Prompt, reinforce, or model skills using strategies provided by the supervising teacher/coach.
2. Data Collection & Record Keeping
Record simple session data (e.g., steps completed, duration, student engagement) as instructed.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.
3. Supporting Generalisation into the Classroom
Assist students to use the skills taught in SBT during classroom activities, transitions, and play¿under direction from teaching staff.
Assist with preparing or organising materials needed for SBT or classroom learning.
4. Promoting Student Safety & Wellbeing
Maintain a safe, supportive, and predictable environment for learning.
Uphold the school's Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy.
5. Teamwork & Communication
Work collaboratively with teachers, ES colleagues, wellbeing teams, and other staff.
Build positive relationships with students while maintaining professional boundaries.
