Salesforce Business Analyst
- Salary: $113,022 - $136,747 (Plus superannuation)
- Fixed Term for 12 months

The Role
The Salesforce Business Analyst will engage diverse stakeholders across the organisation working with the Salesforce Sales & Service Cloud stack to translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements and provide iterative, agile software delivery on the flagship Global Engagement Management System (GEMS) and other Salesforce solutions.
The role reports to the Salesforce Business Engagement Lead and will engage with business areas within the department and also working with a high performing, multi-disciplinary Salesforce delivery team to provide quality support and enhancements to multiple Salesforce platforms.
Key accountabilities include:
- Gather & document functional/technical and non-functional business requirements, exceptions, business rules & process flows in an Agile framework to actively & continually contribute to system design, integration and delivery of solutions that solve complex business problems & pain points.
- Contribute to planning and prioritising backlogs and the iterative delivery of value to the department and its stakeholders.
- Design and manage sessions with subject matter experts, product owners and end users, including policy and technical specialists, to analyse processes at a system level, identify pain points for enhancing business processes and user experience within the Grants and CRM functions.
- Work closely with product owners and other key stakeholders to break down larger features into detailed user stories, build narratives and acceptance criteria and strategically connect them to Grants & CRM initiatives. This includes production of artefacts to support agile software development across the full SDLC cycle.
- Establish and maintain strong, collaborative, and productive working relationships with key department stakeholders through provision of expert guidance, support, and feedback to ensure proposed solutions meet business requirements.
- Support in quality assurance activities and community of practice, and deliver quality business process models and documentation, including specifications and end user training documentation.
- Test the solution to identify and assess the impact of test defects, assist stakeholders in determining actions and manage associated changes to requirements/designs/processes.
- Provide thought leadership for strategic business processes improvement, change management & impact assessments across the department for high quality outcomes.
The Team
The position of Salesforce Business Analyst will work within Information Services Branch, which sits within Corporate Services Group.
Corporate Services Group actively supports Ministers and portfolio groups to create the conditions for sustainable economic development and employment growth. The Group works collaboratively to deliver integrated and operational functions across the department, leading the development of governance, people, culture, systems and capability. It comprises Financial and Property Services, Investment and Procurement, Information Services, Performance and Governance, Legal and Legislation and People & Culture Services.
Information Services Branch works to provide secure and flexible corporate technology systems, digital capabilities, and information management and systems support to enable the collaborative efforts of our people and equip them for success.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process and methodology development, and data mapping in an agile software environment within the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Strong conceptual, analytical and product management skills, including a track-record of interpreting customer business needs and innovatively translating them into application and operational requirements that support the organisation's digital strategies.
- Well-developed stakeholder relationship skills, including the ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders and the ability to negotiate, influence and build consensus and gain co-operation to achieve outcomes.
- Effective communication (verbal and written) with a high level of ability to clearly convey ideas and information, demonstrating an understanding of the target audience and objectives of the communication.
- Ability to make rational and sound decisions based on consideration of available facts, alternatives and commit to a definite course of action.
