Rostering plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the location by managing staff deployments and rostering. The Rostering team is responsible for creating multiple rosters, up to six weeks in advance to meet staffing and operational requirements.
Rostering oversees the end-to-end rostering process, including building and maintaining rosters, managing shift allocations, timesheet management and ensuring accurate recording of staff attendance. Additionally, they coordinate leave requests and availability, ensuring compliance with workforce requirements and operational needs. The team also performs daily validation and reconciliation processes to ensure accurate system processing and to verify that entitlements are correctly applied in accordance with the department's policies, rostering principles and applicable enterprise agreement.
TimeTarget is the department's workforce management system used by all public prisons and Youth Justice facilities state-wide to manage their operations efficiently.
About the Role:
The role of the Rostering Officer is to assist with forward planning and development of rosters, up to 6 weeks in advance, managing day to day rostering enquiries, adjusting rosters to accommodate changes such as leave requests, unplanned absences and accommodating any changing based on operational needs.

This positions involve shift works. Successful incumbants will work on a 9 days/fortnight rotating roster involving weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provison of the VPS Determination.
