About Us:
The Melbourne Assessment Prison (MAP) is a maximum-security facility providing statewide assessment and orientation services for all male prisoners received into the prison system and is located within the North West Metropolitan Area. MAP consists of the prison, the custody facilities at the County, Supreme and Appeal Courts and holding cells at St Vincent's Hospital for prisoners requiring outpatient medical treatment.
The North West Metropolitan Area accounts for approximately 1700 staff across 20 sites. These sites are located in either the North or West of the Area and deliver a range of services including custodial services at prisons, Community Correctional Services, Youth Justice Services, Sheriff's Operations, Consumer Affairs, front of house enquiries (including Births, Deaths and Marriages applications) and management of community services (including Victims' Support across the area). In addition, there are two Executive Officer roles of the Regional Aboriginal Justice Advisory Council, West and North.
About the Role:
The role of a Rostering Officer:
Officers operate on a rotating 14-day roster, which involves weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provisions of the VPS Enterprise Agreement.
An integral part of working as part of the Rostering team is in-person presence at the location. The role will require the incumbent to regularly attend their usual place of work.
