The purpose of this role is to lead the management of assets and the delivery of associated capital infrastructure works on the State Forest and Parks Victoria road network by providing high quality road network managment services.
The key responsibilities of the role include analysing the Department's road management obligations, as well as navigating complex issues related to road ownership and network requirements. The position involves identifying emerging challenges and opportunities for improvement, shaping the development of intricate policies and processes, and overseeing permit systems, monitoring programs, and partnership agreements. It also includes coordinating risk management and road safety initiatives, and ensuring compliance reporting related to road network management.
In addition, the role requires providing expert advice on highly complex road management issues and obligations. It involves extensive engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders, including road management agency partners, industry representatives, peak bodies, and utility providers.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
