What you will do
As review officer, you will assess and respond to complex applications about infringement fines.
You will work with a team that handles urgent customer matters and supports fair outcomes.
You will:
- provide timely decisions on enforcement review applications and payment arrangements
- give clear advice to members of the public, government agencies and enforcement bodies
- review and respond to complaints and enquiries with careful attention to detail
- maintain accurate records that meet privacy, security and legislative requirements
- support the delivery of the Fines Reform Act 2014 through fair and consistent decision making.
About you
Relevant qualifications or experience are desirable. Experience applying legislation, policies or government procedures is highly regarded.
You should also have:
- an understanding of the infringement lifecycle and relevant legislation
- strong communication skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and other systems
- the ability to solve problems and make sound decisions under pressure
- a respectful and inclusive approach when working with people from different backgrounds.
