Respiratory Scientist (Grade 2) – Department of Respiratory & Sleep Medicine
About the Role:
This is an ongoing Part Time position at 16 hour per fortnight within the Department of Respiratory & Sleep Medicine.
You will be required to perform and supervise clinical paediatric respiratory function testing in the Respiratory Laboratory, outpatient clinic and throughout the RCH.
You will also be required to assist in detailing laboratory policy, protocol and procedures to satisfy the ongoing requirements for Laboratory accreditation. This includes participating in the quality assurance program as well as the staff development and education curriculum.
Classification for this position will range from RY4 to RY7 (base salary $94,478 to $106,906 per annum, plus superannuation).

About the Department:
The Respiratory Laboratory at the Royal Children's Hospital is the major paediatric laboratory in Victoria and provides diagnostic clinical services to around 5500 patients per year. The Laboratory is committed to improving health outcomes for children and adolescents and provides care for a wide range of conditions including cystic fibrosis, asthma, cancer, neuromuscular weakness, immune deficiency, allergy and spinal deformities.
