About the role:
The Reporting Analyst contributes to the delivery of high-quality outputs for benchmarking and performance monitoring to support data-driven decision-making process at Hospitals Victoria. This position supports established data workflows and reporting processes, working with structured datasets to deliver consistent and accurate reporting outputs.
Working within a collaborative environment, this role involves engagement with Senior Data Analysts, Data Engineers and stakeholders to support business requirement gathering, report development and acceptance testing. The Reporting Analyst follows defined standards and practices to ensure reporting outputs are accurate, consistent, and fit for purpose.
This position requires a sound technical foundation in business intelligence tools, particularly SQL and Microsoft Power BI. The role supports the broader department strategy by delivering timely, accurate reporting that improves data accessibility and supports health service analysis and performance monitoring.

About you:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Reporting Analyst with 1-3 years of experience, to support the analysis and reporting of complex financial and health data sets within a dynamic and evolving environment. The ideal candidate will have a sound technical foundation in SQL, with demonstrated experience in data extraction, management, analysis, and reporting from a range of sources. You will have strong computer skills, with advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Experience using Power BI for data modelling, visualisation, and dashboard development will be well regarded.
This role requires a proactive problem-solver with strong stakeholder engagement skills. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist with data requirements, and ensure data is structured to support meaningful analytics and decision-making. You will also possess professional standards with strong accuracy, attention to detail and time management skills.
