About the Role
The Reporting Analyst provides expert data analysis on a range of early childhood and school education datasets. The role conducts analytical tasks utilising their strong skills in SQL and Excel, providing data to internal and external stakeholders whilst applying strong data governance and privacy principles. The incumbent assists stakeholders to define their requirements and supports them to identify data to meet their analytical goals. This position plays a key role in actioning data requests and data submissions through the extraction, manipulation, and linkage of datasets, as well as assisting with User Acceptance Testing of reports and data products developed within the Performance and Evaluation Division.
The Reporting Analyst works as part of a collegiate Branch of analysts and policy/project officers and reports to the Manager, Reporting and Statistics.

We're seeking someone with data analytics experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in querying, joining and manipulating data using SQL.
To be successful within the position, you will need strong communication skills, a desire to assist people with their data needs and be knowledgable about, or willing to learn, data governance principles.
