About the Business Unit:
The Department of Justice and Community Safety seeks to reduce an offender's risk of re-offending by providing access to interventions that may address violence propensity, general offending behaviour, motivation to change, maintaining change, emotion management, reintegration, and other offence related topics. Hopkins Correctional Centre (HCC) is a medium security prison located at Ararat for prisoners with protection requirements including both sentenced and unsentenced (remand) prisoners.
About the Role:
The Remand Programs Facilitator is part of the Vocational Services Team at HCC. The Remand Program Facilitator is primarily responsible for the coordination and facilitation of a suite of programs for remand prisoners along with associated assessments and administrative tasks that support prisoners' transition into custody and preparation for release from custody. Remand Program Facilitators support the delivery of the CV Reintegration Program at the prison. They have a role in transition and reintegration planning and resolving issues concerned with program participation and attendance in consultation with the prison staff team.
Some of your duties will include:
Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of the suite of Remand Programs at the prison location, both individually and in conjunction with service delivery providers, including co-facilitation with stakeholders and partners.
Monitor and report on key perform.ance and quality indicators.
Establish and maintain appropriate data collection and monitoring processes for program delivery that includes referrals, scheduling, program attendance records and adherence to the remand service delivery model.

About You:

Experience in facilitation of psycho-educational programs to individuals and groups.
Experience in and/or understanding of working within a correctional environment.
Demonstrated understanding of transition and reintegration issues and needs of prisoners.
