About the Role
The Release and Delivery Specialist is a key and active participant of the Emergency Communications Information Services team (ECIS).
The goal of the function is to provide in-depth knowledge and expertise in specific tools, technologies and processes related to Release management. Also support the Release Lead in executing all internal and external technology releases including release planning, communications, release deployment, change, defect, and problem management associated with the releases, ensuring internal and external vendor liaison.
Reporting to the Release Lead, specific accountabilities will include providing technical expertise, assisting with the creation and maintenance of documentation, ensuring compliance with release management standards and best practices, configuration management and building strong relationships across the business, maintaining, and communicating an integrated release and deployment schedule.
The role, in consultation with the Managers/Leads, service designers, external vendors and the testing team, will develop and maintain a rolling release schedule including maintenance activities. The role will need to proactively manage and maintain this schedule to ensure changes in business priorities are accurately considered and communicated.
As part of the ECIS team you may be required to travel or transfer between your primary work location and other 000VIC sites to effectively carry out your duties. Normal working hours are 38 hours per week between 7 am and 7 pm, Monday to Friday. You may be required to work reasonable overtime and participate in out-of-hours deployment activities.

As the Release and Delivery Specialist you will ideally have experience in release management, and a Diploma or Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline.
