About the Role
This is a Casual position within the Nursing and Adminsitration Workforce department.
As a Registered Mental Health Nurse/Enrolled Mental Health Nurse you will be responsible for patients within the acute in-patient mental health unit (Banksia ward) and the adolescent inpatient unit (Kelpie ward), and from time to time provide psychiatric nurse specialling to patients within the medical and surgical wards, and the emergency department.
Registered Mental Health Nurse Grade 2 classification for this position will range from NP21-NP70 (FTE base salary $72,405 to $96,808 per annum, plus superannuation).
Enrolled Mental Health Nurse Level 2 classification for this position will range from PE21-YD22 (FTE base salary $70,751 to $73,897 per annum, plus superannuation).
Your skills and experience:
• Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered though the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, as evidenced in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record/Professional Practice Portfolio (PPP).
• Recent clinical experience within an acute mental health care setting

About the Department
Nursing and Administration Workforce (NAW) provides an important service to The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) managers and staff to support the provision of high-quality patient care at the RCH.
The team is responsible for the:
• Provision and management of high quality, in-house casual workforce services to the RCH wards and departments to meet operational requirements
• Supporting rostering operation activities including roster creation, roster maintenance and associate processes such as shift filling
Our goal is to provide professional, effective and customer orientated casual bank management and rostering services to our customers and effective, professional candidate care to our RCH casual bank members.
