About the Role

Day shifts and night shifts available
As a Registered Nurse in Aged Care, you will be responsible for the day to day requirements to ensure consumer needs are met, in a person centred approach with a focus on outcomes for consumers. Additionally, you will be a resource for the staff and provide a consultative approach with consumers and families towards delivering care.
RN's in Aged Care ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation and maintain clear communication with all staff. You will be supported in your role by senior nursing positions.

Minimum qualifications
Key Selection Criteria (essential):
Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards, Charter of Aged care Rights and Aged Care Act 1997
Well developed and contemporary clinical skills and knowledge, including the application of Infection Control practices and principles
Sound communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Well developed time management skills and the ability to adhere to time frames
Awareness of the Australian National Aged Care Classification funding model (AN-ACC)
Demonstrated ability to achieve optimal outcomes within a culture of continuous improvement
Desirable (non-essential):
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Aged Care
Awareness of the clinical indicator reporting requirements
Proficient in the use of electronic documentation systems

Employing more than 200 people, MHS operates a 12 bed acute hospital, 2 Aged Care Residences with a total of 82 beds, primary and community care services, social support group programs and Allied Health Services.
