Alexandra District Health is the major health service within the Shire of Murrindindi and has a long and proud history in health-related service provision to the area, providing inpatient, outpatient and primary health services.
An exciting opportunity exists for experienced, dynamic and highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurses to join the Pre-operative Scrub / Scout, Anaesthetic and PACU clinical team in a casual capacity. You will work within the perioperative team to coordinate patient care. You will ensure that patients are encouraged to be partners in care planning, goal setting and decision making, and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to achieve desired health outcomes for patients.
The successful candidate will have:
· Advanced clinical skills with experience in the application of anaesthetic procedures and ability to assist the Anaesthetist in the safe and efficient care of the patient during surgery, A high level of understanding and application of surgical procedures and ability to assist the Surgeon in the safe and efficient care of patients or Advanced clinical skills and ability to provide pre-emptive care, recognise, respond to and manage complications from anaesthesia and surgery, or deterioration associated with comorbid illness including patient deterioration, emergencies and the need for escalation of care. Be a competent communicator with the ability to liaise across the multi-disciplinary team
· Applicants must have had their influenza vaccine or be willing to have the vaccination prior to commencement.
