About the Role:
This is a Permanent Full-Time/Part-Time position up to 80 hours per fortnight within the Emergency department. Part time opportunities also available.
You will be responsible for providing comprehensive, safe, evidence-based paediatric Emergency nursing care in line with RCH and Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia standards. You will work with the multi-disciplinary team to facilitate optimal health outcomes and provide family centred care.
Classification for this position will range from YP3 to YP9, Grade 2 Year 3 to Grade 2 Year 8 (FTE base salary $83,803.2 - $103,152.40).

About the Department:
The Royal Children’s Hospital Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing urgent medical care to babies, children and adolescents. The Department sees approximately 95,000 patients each year and is staffed by medical, nursing, clerical, allied health (eg social work, mental health and child life therapists) and administrative staff as well as ward services assistants.
As a registered nurse in Emergency, you will work collaboratively with this multidisciplinary team. Our clinical area currently comprises four resuscitation rooms, 26 cubicles, four procedure rooms and is closely associated with Medical Imaging and Dolphin Medical Short Stay. The Emergency Department is currently undergoing an exciting expansion.
