Job Title: Registered Nurse -Neuro & Surgical Care
About the Role
This is a permanent full time/part-time position within the Neuro & Surgical Care (Cockatoo) ward.
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that clinical practice and delivery of care is consistent with Royal Children's Hospital and Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia standards. This is done by providing comprehensive, safe, evidence-based practice across a range of contexts, to facilitate optimal health outcomes for our patients. This is an exciting opportunity within the Surgical and Neuro Care Ward, where you will use your integrated nursing health care knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective care. We offer excellent professional development to enhance your nursing practice and conduct comprehensive and systematic nursing assessments to improve the quality of our nursing care provided in Cockatoo Ward. We currently have ongoing opportunities, for part-time and full-time roles with flexible rostering options available.
Classification for this position in accordance with Award 22 – Registered Nurses and will range from YP3 (Grade 2, Year 2) to YP9 (Grade 2, Year 8 ), (FTE base salary $86,580 - $107,510 per annum, pro rata for part-time, plus superannuation).

About the Department
Cockatoo - Surgical and Neuro Care Ward cares for patients aged from infants, adolescence and young adults from Victoria, Australia and internationally. The clinical staff provide comprehensive care to patients with neurological, neurosurgical, metabolic and complex gastroenterology and hepatology conditions.
