The Opportunity
The Regional Strategy and Integration Manager - North West, plays a key role in shaping how Victoria's future energy system is delivered across Victoria's communities. Supporting the Regional Director, you will help integrate local priorities into the development of the North West Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) - ensuring projects maximise economic and social value while managing cumulative impacts across the region. Working closely with internal teams, government partners and regional stakeholders, you will help coordinate planning, resolve regional challenges and support the successful delivery of REZ development across North West Victoria.
The role is based in Bendigo. This role requires regular travel across regional Victoria including Bendigo, Horsham, Stawell, Swan Hill, Kerang, Charlton, Shepparton and Benalla.
What you will deliver
- Lead regional planning and integration for the REZ Development Region while building trusted relationships with Traditional Owners, councils, landholders, industry and community stakeholders.
- Establish and manage regional governance forums to ensure strong collaboration and clear advice into decision-making.
- Coordinate regional briefings, planning activities and information sessions to progress REZ development.
- Analyse regional priorities, risks and opportunities, including cumulative impacts across projects.
- Act as a key integration point across VicGrid teams to support coordinated planning and risk mitigation.
- Foster culturally safe engagement where stakeholders feel respected, valued and able to participate.
What you will bring
- Experience working on place-based infrastructure, energy, planning or regional development initiatives in complex stakeholder environments.
- Understanding of Renewable Energy Zones or comparable large-scale infrastructure programs.
- Experience establishing governance and planning processes that translate regional insights into clear advice.
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as regional development, planning, engineering or business (desirable).
- A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel across regional Victoria.
