The opportunity
The Regional Engagement Advisor will support the delivery of VicGrid's regional engagement activities across the Gippsland and Shoreline Renewable Energy Zones (REZs), helping to build community understanding, trust and acceptance of Victoria's renewable energy transition.
A key focus of the role is providing high-quality administrative and operational support to regional engagement programs. This includes coordinating meetings and events, maintaining stakeholder records and engagement databases, preparing correspondence and engagement materials, tracking actions and commitments, and preparing reports. The role contributes to the effective delivery of engagement initiatives by ensuring accurate record keeping, strong organisational processes and responsive support across multiple projects and teams.
The role is based across our Sale and Traralgon offices. Frquent travel will be required across Gippsland and Victoria region.
What will you deliver
- Prepare high-quality briefings and presentations while ensuring engagement is culturally safe, inclusive and respectful.
- Track community feedback, concerns and engagement activities to support tailored consultation and continuous improvement.
- Share local stakeholder insights to inform project development and future Victorian Transmission Plans.
- Coordinate community reference groups, roundtables, forums and regional networks.
- Support the delivery of community engagement and communication strategies for renewable energy projects and Renewable Energy Zones (REZs).
- Work with regional teams to support REZ planning, readiness and delivery.
What you will bring
- Experience building positive relationships with communities, landholders, local government, industry and community groups.
- Strong administration, documentation and record-keeping skills.
- An understanding of Gippsland communities, industries, local economies and regional priorities.
- Knowledge of the energy sector and renewable energy transition is highly regarded.
- Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing priorities, stakeholder needs and operational requirements.
