An opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional with an extensive background in business development, to develop and deliver business event opportunities for the State of Victoria. This role engages with a wide range of industry stakeholders within North Asia including Australian and Victorian trade and investment bodies in-market (Tourism Australia, Victorian Government Trade and Investment (VGTI) network.
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Meetings & Incentives based in Melbourne, this position will develop strategic business plans for the North Asia region identifying initiatives to grow the Business Events sector from this market in conjunction with the Director. Representing MCB at corporate and incentive trade shows, in-market product updates/ workshops/roadshows/ sales missions and other relevant events in the North Asia market.
The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills to develop strong relationships with a range of stakeholders across industries, while being proactive, creative, and solutions orientated to develop and deliver initiatives to achieve business events targets in North Asia Region.
Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will possess:
• Experience in the tourism and/or business events sectors
• Proven ability to lead business development initiatives
• Proficient written and verbal language skills in both Mandarin and English.
The successful candidate for this locally engaged position will be responsible for all arrangements in relation to relocation expenses (if applicable), their accommodation and day-to-day living expenses.
