About the role
Reporting to the Executive Director, DEECA Regions, the Regional Director Gippsland leads regional service delivery and provides statewide leadership for the Wildlife and Landscape Protection portfolio. This role oversees public land services and strategic partnerships, delivering programs that protect biodiversity, manage wildlife, and enhance landscape resilience. The role works closely with Traditional Owners, local stakeholders, and government partners to foster sustainable outcomes for communities and ecosystems across Victoria.

About the organisation
The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) delivers programs and policy across Victoria's energy, environment, climate action, and water portfolios. At the heart of this work, the Regions, Environment, Climate Action and First Peoples (RECAFP) Group brings together expertise in climate action, circular economy, environmental protection, and public land management. Through six regional divisions, DEECA Regions works with portfolio agencies, communities, service delivery partners and stakeholders to deliver integrated, place-based services and projects. Together, these groups drive innovation, champion self-determination reform, and help shape a sustainable, inclusive and prosperous future for all Victorians.
This is a fixed term position available for a period of up to 5 years. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
