Position Overview:
The Reform Project Officer is responsible for supporting the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC) during a period of significant reform. The role will lead and help to implement the delivery of reforms-based initiatives relating to the establishment of the Building and Plumbing Commission and other government priorities.
By leveraging strong coordination and support services, the role will ensure delivery on a range of key business objectives is met in accordance with timeframes.
Key activities include internal and external stakeholder engagement, generating and refining reform proposals, correspondence, briefings, reports and coordinating the reform program in a proactive manner.

About the Building and Plumbing Commission:
The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing. It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation.
Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance. These services will now part of the BPC and will be fully integrated over the next 12 months.
