About Us:
Corrections Victoria is responsible for the direction, management and operation of Victoria's corrections system, which incorporates prisons and Community Correctional Services. As a service agency within the Department of Justice and Community Safety, Corrections Victoria develops and implements policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
The Sentence Calculation and Warrant Administration (SCWA) Unit within the Sentence Management Division is responsible for processing of court orders, prisoner discharges and sentence calculation to ensure that prisoners are appropriately and accurately held or released in accordance with legislative requirements. The SCWA Unit is also responsible for coordinating core processes that support the attendance of prisoners at court in a timely manner.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Supervisor Operations, the Records Officer is responsible for processing operational business of the SCWA Unit including warrants, discharges, gaol orders and sentence calculations in accordance with legislative requirements. The Records Officer is also responsible for ensuring operations are delivered in accordance with minimum standards of quality assurance set by Correction Victoria Executive and Management.
Some of your other duties will include:
SCWA operates shifts on a roster basis, with coverage from 8am to 7pm, Monday to Friday and may require weekend work. This role will require shift work rostered within these hours.
