About the role:
As a Records Officer, you will work closely with the broader Records and Depositions teams to deliver timely and effective service to all staff. You will be a key point of contact for enquiries and contribute to the effective management of the Office's records and recordkeeping systems.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Updating and maintaining critical databases, including Open Text Content Manager and our case management systems.
• Managing the flow of incoming information by collecting, scanning, and delivering mail, emails, and other documents.
• Sorting and dispatching external mail and managing the Records counter.
• Preparing files for archiving and disposal, ensuring compliance with retention policies.
• Acting as a first point of contact for telephone enquiries and providing records support to staff.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Experience with both electronic and physical records, or a strong demonstrated knowledge of records management principles.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and experience with computerised case management systems.
• A proven ability to be an effective and collaborative team member.
• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for using your initiative.
