About our School:
Brinbeal Secondary College is one of the newest 7 - 12 Secondary College in Melbourne's west. The school opened its doors to its first cohort of Year 7 students in 2024 to a purpose built, state of the art educational facility.
At present, the school has approx. 450 Year 7 & 8 students and will add an additional year 7 cohort each year until 2029 when it will become a 7 - 12 school.
There continues to be great excitement in the community about our new school.
In 2026, we will add Year 9 to our program and expect our enrolments to grow beyond 750+ in total.
Our data shows we are achieving at or above network, similar schools and state for the majority of metrics in Student, Parent & Staff Opinion Surveys, Naplan and attendance - our students love coming to school.
The school is situated in Melbourne's booming western growth corridor approximately 23 kilometres from Melbourne CBD and services the rapidly growing and aspirational communities of the highly sought after Grove and Grand Central Estates in Tarneit.

Stage 1 state of the art educational facilities are now complete and includes:
Administration and Resource Centre - featuring modern design and multiple learning spaces for a variety of teaching styles.
Exceptional two storey Science and Technology building - with dedicated labs, materials and digital technology
Large Learning Neighbourhood - featuring 14 general classrooms, multiple presentation and seminar spaces and an array of quiet and small group collaborative areas.
Performing Arts building - featuring specialised drama, music and media spaces as well as four Food Technology rooms
Large Community Hub - features 3 indoor basketball courts and multi-purpose exercise rooms
Outside - we have extensive outdoor basketball courts as well as manicured landscaping that allows for multipurpose outdoor learning experiences.

As a growing school the Reception/Administration (& First Aid) Officers role is broad and the role will focus on supporting the administration office, keeping in mind the schools growing enrolment numbers. As the College grows, adding one year level each year, the administration team will continually grow, with new staff recruited and division of administration tasks and support roles.¿¿
The Reception/Administration (& First Aid) Officers will be flexible, competent, and approachable to all members of the school community. It is expected that they will provide a high level of customer service to the student body, staff and visitors to the College and be competent in the provision of up to date and relevant information. The Reception/Administration (& First Aid) Officer is also accountable for maintaining and inputting accurate data for reporting to staff, School Council and Leadership teams. Accurate data recording is important as it reflects in the provision of information and reports to Families, Staff, School Council and the Community.¿

General Administration¿
Enter and maintain student details on CASES21
Prepare correspondence, documents, spreadsheets and lists as required and according to School procedures.¿
Maintain appropriate filing systems according to School procedures.¿
Process student attendance records and send correspondence regarding attendance as required¿
Monitoring of unapproved absences and late arrivals to class, making contact with families as directed¿
Provide administrative and reception support to the school community, answering the telephone and responding to enquiries at the reception counter.¿¿¿
Provide messages to students in class/retrieve students for early parent pickup.¿
Ensure work areas and staff lounge is in a clean, safe, orderly, and professional condition at all times.
Adhere to the College¿s dress code policy and wear appropriate business casual in the school office¿¿
Administration of school events/excursions through Compass
First Aid Support:
Provide first aid support when required (training can be provided)
Provide support in the organisation of first aid training for staff including Anaphylaxis and Asthma training
Updating and distributing various first aid procedures
Maintain record keeping and documentation of student medical plans in line with DE policy, EG: Anaphylaxis, Diabetes, Asthma and Epilepsy etc
Liaise with families to see student management plans and medication, ensure registration of medications if required (i.e.¿Epiclub)
Attend to parent and staff enquiries and provide support in the areas of first aid matters and compliance.
Communicate to all staff the students with medical conditions.
Liaise with colleagues to support the efficient operation of day-today activities, excursions/camps, and events in relation to first aid requirements and provide support in preparation of kits and medical requirements.
Ensure audit and update of First Aid Kits and First Aid rooms in line with OH&S requirements, including ensuring kits and rooms are adequately stocked.
Ensuring school meets compliance requirements, keeping updated to any relevant first aid DE policy and guideline changes.
Undertake other duties relevant to the field of responsibility as requested by the Business Manager or Principal
