About the role
As Ranger. the primary focus of your position is to plan for, and deliver, in park services as directed by the Ranger Team Leader to enable efficient and effective delivery at a district level. The Colac Otway area sits within a culturally and environmentally diverse landscape and the Rangers can be brushcutting a campground, clearing walking tracks and controlling weeds one minute to talking to a group of visitors the next.
You will also work closely with Traditional Owners, volunteers, community groups and park visitors to help create positive experiences while protecting the natural and cultural values that make Victoria's parks so special. Rangers may also contribute to emergency response and recovery activities and support Victoria's fire management operations as required.
