Broadmeadows Primary School, located 15 km north of Melbourne¿s CBD, serves a vibrant and culturally diverse community. We are dedicated to providing an inclusive, welcoming environment where every student is valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
Our school currently enrols approximately 250 students, supported by a committed team of 22 teachers, 10 Education Support staff, and 1 Principal Class member. With a significant proportion of students speaking English as an Additional Language, we offer tailored programmes and targeted support to ensure all learners thrive.
A seamless transition into primary education is guaranteed through our on-site kindergarten, where Foundation teachers collaborate closely with early years staff to deliver a cohesive and engaging transition programme. Demonstrated understanding of effective Physical Education pedagogy and the ability to deliver a comprehensive, engaging and inclusive PE program aligned to the Victorian Curriculum.
Demonstrated capacity to assess, monitor and report on student progress in Physical Education using a range of assessment tools and data to inform teaching practice.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a safe, supportive and well-managed learning environment during physical activities, with strong knowledge of safety protocols, risk management and student wellbeing.
Demonstrated high-level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues, and to work collaboratively as part of a PE and whole-school team.
Demonstrated commitment to professional growth, reflective practice and active contribution to whole-school initiatives, including sporting events, health programs and cross-curricular activities.
Range 2 classroom teachers play a significant role in assisting the school to improve student performance and educational outcomes determined by the school strategic plan and state-wide priorities and contributing to the development and implementation of school policies and priorities.
A critical component of this work will focus on increasing the knowledge base of staff within their school about student learning and high quality instruction to assist their school to define quality teacher practice.
