About the department
The Austin Consultation Liaison (CL) Psychiatry service provides psychiatric support for medical and surgical inpatients across Austin Health sites (Austin Hospital, Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital, and Royal Talbot Hospital). The Austin CL Psychiatry service supports inpatients across Austin Health by addressing the overlap of physical and mental health to improve patient care.
About the role
The Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist provides clinical leadership, supervises registrars, supports staff education, advocates for patients, and contributes to service quality and development within a multidisciplinary team.

You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You will be working with a team of professionals to make a difference to consumers impacted by mental health difficulties.
