An exciting and unique opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Public Administration Group, Strategic Communications, Engagement and Protocol Branch (SCEP) as Protocol and Events Adviser at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
Strategic Communications, Engagement and Protocol (SCEP) branch provides specialist communication, engagement, and protocol support and advice to the departments, premier's private office and portfolio ministers. We centralise and lead campaign delivery, coordinate government-wide efforts, and set best practice standards within the VPS.
The Protocol and Events team provides advice on matters of protocol, state and national observances and conventions. The team delivers ceremonial and special events of state significance and international visits; manages the planning and implementation of various major events and programs; and is responsible for the administration of significant awards programs in Victoria.
This position plays a key role in the delivery of events, award programs and stakeholder engagement in the Protocol and Events team.
To be successful in this role you will be client focussed and have strong event coordination, administration and relationship building and influencing skills.
