Deliver on-ground actions for the conservation of one of Victoria's most iconic threatened species. The Project Support Officer will assist in all aspects of delivery of the Helmeted Honeyeater Supplementary Feeding program and actions associated with the Helmeted honeyeater Recovery Plan. The Project Support Officer will directly deliver supplementary feeding of Helmeted Honeyeaters at Yellingbo Nature Conservation Reserve, will assist in training volunteers, and will prepare feed, clean and maintain equipment. This role will work as part of a team with two other dedicated staff, and will assist in other monitoring and field activities, maintain datasets, and conduct bird trapping and banding. You will require an A class banding authority with mist-net endorsement or be working towards one.

This is a fixed term position until 31 December 2026. The work location for this position is flexible within the Port Phillip Region with hybrid work arrangements available.
