The Project Support Officer Emergency Preparedness supports the development and coordination of projects and processes across the Emergency Preparedness and Response team. The role provides advice and support across the team ensuring that delivery of all hazards emergency readiness, preparedness, response and recovery activities for the Biosecurity and Agriculture Services (BAS) Division and broader Agriculture Victoria Group, within the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA).
The position supports emergency preparedness exercising development and delivery, and provides support for staff involved in emergency readiness and response activities. The position reports to the Senior Project Officer Emergency Preparedness, in the Regions and Emergencies Branch.
To perform effectively in this role, it is essential to have demonstrated skills in project management, prioritisation, and excellent conceptual skills. The successful applicant will have highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work seamlessly across various projects, teams, and units within BAS and Agriculture Victoria. Additionally, the successful applicant will demonstrate initiative and confidence when engaging with stakeholders and exhibit a high level of motivation to support and drive the team's success.
This is a fixed term position available for a period until 30 June 2026. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
