The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Role
Ongoing - Part Time 0.5 FTE
The purpose of the Project Support Officer is to provide administrative services that supports the Region Operations Division and the wider region, external community stakeholders and the general public. The Project Support Officer, under the direction of the Senior Manager, will work closely with other staff performing administrative functions across the region to support region-wide accountabilities such as compliance reporting, system improvement and administrative and governance processes.
The role is critical to the effective operations of the region. It will involve periods of sustained independent work, as well as engagement with regional staff, key central divisions and members of the community. The role demands flexibility and the ability to work in a highly collaborative and supportive way with all other staff performing administrative functions across the region. The Regional Support Officer will demonstrate a high level of discretion, integrity and initiative in the performance of their tasks, which include:
• System and process improvement.
• Records management, including administration of regional Sharepoint sites.
• General administration support for region-wide compliance and audit processes.
• Support to regional committees,
• Program and project administration support.
