About the role
The Project Reporting Analyst position sits within the Data & Digital division and serves as a dedicated quality assurance and oversight function within the Delivery Branch. This role is responsible for monitoring, tracking, and reporting on project health across the portfolio, ensuring project managers maintain appropriate standards in project delivery, governance, and reporting. The position acts as a critical liaison between individual projects and senior leadership, providing early warning systems for projects requiring intervention or support. The role will work collaboratively with Portfolio Director, to assure project management practices and governance and provide detailed monthly reporting.

Position accountabilities
DTP is seeking a Project Reporting Analyst to enable high-quality delivery across the Data and Digital portfolio. In this role, you will provide expert systems and administrative support to project and program managers, ensuring requests and artefacts are accurately managed across platforms such as Content Manager, Oracle, Zycus, eBriefings, Confluence, Jira, and CAMMS. You will play a key role in monitoring the health of projects within the portfolio, conducting assurance activities across risk, budget, scheduling, and governance, and ensuring alignment with established methodologies and stage-gate requirements.
Success in this role relies on strong analytical and organisational capability, complemented by the confidence to influence stakeholders and engage with senior project teams. You will prepare clear and comprehensive reporting on project performance, escalating issues where required and supporting consistent delivery across the project lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-profile digital and data programs that support improved outcomes for the transport network and the community.Qualifications and experience
• Experience in traditional project management and agile delivery. (mandatory)
• Demonstrated experience (at least 3 years) managing data and digital projects or working in the PMO function in a government or large private sector organisation. (mandatory)
• Experience relevant to the accountabilities and capabilities of the role. (mandatory)
• Project Management Certification (eg PMP, Prince2 / PMBok) or Agile Certification. (desirable)
