Project Officer - WCMICS
Fixed Term, Part-Time Role - 64 Hours per Fortnight
12 Month Contract
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated professional to lead the delivery of high-impact improvement and redesign initiatives that directly support organisational and statewide cancer care priorities. In this pivotal role, you will drive projects that enhance service effectiveness, strengthen quality of care, and help achieve WCMICS’ strategic and operational objectives in alignment with the Victorian Cancer Plan.
Working collaboratively with clinical teams, program leads, and external partners, you will use best-practice improvement methodologies to analyse current processes, identify opportunities, and implement sustainable change. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about improving outcomes for people affected by cancer and contributing to system-wide innovation.
About You
You will bring a strong background in health system improvement along with the ability to influence, engage, and facilitate change across diverse stakeholder groups. Your strategic mindset, analytical skills, and solution-focused approach will ensure successful delivery of complex projects in a dynamic environment.
Key Requirements
• A tertiary qualification in health, science, or a related field• Demonstrated experience in quality improvement, change management, and service redesign within the health system
• Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver outcomes within scope and timelines
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Remuneration
Remuneration will be discussed with the Hiring Manager and will be commensurate with skills and experience.
