An opportunity is currently available for a Project Officer – Water Recovery within the Bulk Entitlements and Systems (BES) team.
The BES team is responsible for overseeing and driving continuous improvement in Victoria’s bulk water sharing and river operating arrangements. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering water recovery assurance functions, while also contributing to the broader responsibilities of the team.
About the role
This position focuses on water recovery projects, with primary responsibility for managing assurance processes to ensure recovered water is accurately quantified. The role also involves confirming that the creation of new water entitlements does not result in adverse impacts on third parties, including the environment.
You will provide specialised technical and policy advice relating to water recovery, bulk water sharing, river system operations, and water resource availability and management.
You will work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to progress projects and deliver outcomes in line with legislative and policy frameworks. Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and the ability to build effective working relationships are essential.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
