The Project Officer plays a key role in improving how biodiversity data is managed, analysed and used to support decision-making across government.
Working in a multidisciplinary team, you will engage with complex and often imperfect datasets (e.g. species observations, vegetation and modelled data), applying analytical thinking and technical skills to ensure data is fit-for-purpose and usable in real-world contexts.A core part of the role is identifying and improving how data workflows and systems operate — moving beyond manual processes to more efficient, reproducible approaches through automation and better design. We are looking for someone who is curious, self-starting and motivated to explore data, identify issues and improve how things work, rather than simply follow defined processes.
