About the role:
The Project Officer sits within the Governance, Strategy and Research Branch in the Strategy and Operations Team. The position reports to the Senior Project Officer for day-to-day task management and operational guidance. For broader responsibilities, PDP and strategic direction the role reports to the Manager, Strategy and Operations.
The role will assist with the development and implementation of organisation wide system and process improvement related to corporate services, finance and procurement. The role requires working in collaboration with a range of internal and external stakeholders to meet financial and procurement requirements.
The Project Officer will coordinate the annual budget bid process, support and coordinate contract management for the organisation, support the processing of non-employee contracts in SCV and ensure SCV's finance delegations of authority are updated as required. The Project Officer will also assist with other business as usual corporate reporting, strategy and other activities including PAEC coordination, inbox management, FOI request processing and the development of new templates, documentation and policies.
The Project Officer will also be responsible for supporting all activities that relate to finance and procurement activities for the organisation. This includes financial transactions, the completion of monthly financial reporting and required process and assisting with end to end procurement activities. The role will also be responsible for supporting Safer Care Victoria's workforce to understand finance and procurement policies and processes and apply them in their day-to-day roles.
