About the Division
The Regional Division operates seven Regional Centres (i.e., Bairnsdale, Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Mildura, Moe, and Shepparton) to lead localised engagement and professional learning delivery, including across school sectors. It includes a local team in each location who knows the local school community and facilitates their engagement in professional learning.
The Division hosts statewide professional learning managed through the Leadership and Teaching Excellence Divisions. It works closely with the Academy Services Division for optimal participant support and customer service. It works closely with the Business Services Division for efficient learning space and technology management.
About the Role
We are looking for five people for the following five roles:
The Project Officer plays a key role in supporting the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership's Regional Division to deliver high-quality professional learning for teachers and school leaders across Victoria. Working closely with Academy teams, Department of Education, and Independent and Catholic sectors, this role takes a project management approach to the end-to-end planning, commissioning, and delivery of programs at the Academy's Regional Centres.
A focus of the role is ensuring that programs are scoped, planned and delivered to the highest standard – meeting quality, timeframe and budget requirements while engaging the right participants for local needs. The Project Officer will contribute to program evaluation, data analysis and reporting to inform decision-making and future planning. As part of a collaborative statewide team across seven regional locations, the role will also draw on expertise from other Academy divisions to deliver impact.
This position requires the successful applicant to demonstrate a solid level of initiative, expertise, experience and knowledge in program and project management as well as experience in developing, implementing, and customising program and project processes and systems.

While flexible work options may be considered, on-site attendance is required when professional learning is delivered. Accordingly, the full range of flexible arrangements may not be available. Work outside of the VPS ordinary span of hours will be required when the centre is booked for events.

The successful applicant must clearly demonstrate a high level of written communication skills including the ability to prepare briefs, letters, emails and reports using clear, concise and grammatically correct language, using appropriate style and formats.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Relevant qualification or equivalent experience working in a dynamic, high performing team in a large, complex organisation.
