About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
Role purpose
The Project Assessment Online Assessment is based in the Assessment Policy, Development and Practice Unit in the Assessment and Reporting Division of the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA).
In this role, you will support the development, maintenance, quality assurance and release of online classroom assessment content to Victorian schools. You will undertake a range of activities, including entering and editing assessment content on the VCAA's assessment platform, undertaking quality assurance, administrative functions and coordination of assessment content to facilitate expert review, as well as providing support to schools that use the assessment platform.
You will report to the Project Manager, Online Assessment, but will also work closely with expert learning area leads to coordinate review of assessments across Mathematics, English, Science and Health and Physical Education.
The role is part of a flexible team that supports the work of the Assessment Strategy, Policy and Development branch. This fixed term, full-time role is located in the CBD, Melbourne and offers flexible working arrangements consistent with VPS policy.
