About the role:
The Project Officer - Data for OCP is responsible for providing project, policy and administrative support with a focus on data use to inform continuous clinical improvement of the mental health sector, specifically to support the legislated and continuous improvement work of the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist. This role sits within Performance Reporting and Business Intelligence, Performance and Commissioning int he Mental Health and Wellbeing Division. This includes providing support to other team members delivering projects to improve business intelligence and performance reporting and providing support to other team members delivering projects to improve business intelligence and performance reporting. It also includes support with clinical leadership and quality and safety oversight of mental health services, which are statutory functions of the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist under the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022.
The Project Officer works with colleagues to design, plan, coordinate and deliver reports and projects. They manage multiple priorities and liaise with stakeholders as part of performing these duties. The Project Officer also provides administrative and analytical support through collecting and analysing data, maintaining up to date data dashboards and preparing correspondence and documents.
Teamwork is a core part of the role. The Project Officer assists colleagues to navigate systems and processes and contributes to team planning and activities and works across the Performance Reporting team and the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist.
The Project Officer needs to be effective at time-management by balancing competing priorities, meeting strict deadlines, adapting to shifting requirements and responding promptly to urgent tasks.
