About the role
The Project Officer – Land Acquisitions provides operational and project-based support to the Strategy, Planning and Programs Division within the Management Planning and Effectiveness Directorate, supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of land acquisition projects across Victoria.
This role assists in the acquisition of land for conservation, public access, and recreational purposes, ensuring all activities are delivered in accordance with Parks Victoria's strategic objectives, governance frameworks, and operational standards. The position manages project delivery, financial reporting, and procurement, while providing practical advice on potential land acquisitions and supporting the integration of acquired land into the Parks Victoria estate.
The Project Officer works collaboratively with internal teams, Traditional Owners, government agencies, consultants, contractors, and community stakeholders to ensure acquisitions are completed efficiently, compliantly, and with positive outcomes for conservation, cultural heritage, and public use.
