About the role:
The Project and Data Officer, Performance, Capability and Permissioning contributes to performance and capability projects for the Health Regulator including data systems and process improvement projects, reporting framework development, report design and production, and capability building initiatives. As a central contact point working closely with stakeholders from each regulatory team, the Project Officer provides strategic recommendations to improve regulatory practice and consistency across the Health Regulator branch. They will use intelligence and operational information as well as best practice advice, notably Better Regulation Victoria's‘ Towards Best Practice material to identify emerging trends to design and deliver initiatives that inform the development and implementation of a strategic regulatory model.
To be successful in this role you will develop effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including staff in the Regulatory Reform and Policy, Health Services Regulation and Health Protection Regulation units and a wide range of program and policy areas within the department. The successful applicant will demonstrate analytical skills as well as sound leadership and an ability to influence others to maximise efficiency and effectiveness and improve outcomes.

About you:
Qualification/Specialist Expertise
A tertiary qualification would be desirable.
Understanding of Victorian Government operating processes and values is essential.
Understanding of the Victorian health system, and knowledge of the department and its operating processes and information systems will be highly regarded.
Data handling experience, including database management and BI report development will be highly regarded.
Experience in regulatory and public policy work as well as knowledge of relevant government legislation highly regarded.
