Project Officer, Emergency Management
The Role
The Project Officer, Emergency Management provides high-level administrative support, project coordination and reporting for emergency management planning activities coordinated through the Emergency Management Team. The role supports the department to meet its emergency management legislative obligations and contributes to whole-of-government emergency management arrangements.
The position operates in a fast-paced, response-critical environment and requires the ability to work autonomously under limited supervision, manage competing priorities and progress activities to completion. The role may be required to provide executive support during emergency activations or significant business disruptions, including working at incident control centres or the State Control Centre.

The Team
This position sits within the Strategy, Performance & Governance Branch in the Corporate Services Group.
The branch works to uplift the efficiency and effectiveness of the department by driving strategic projects, governance frameworks and key programs. It supports high-quality reporting, planning, risk management, business continuity and emergency management to enable effective oversight and informed decision-making across the department.
About You
You have strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to identify priorities, manage processes and adapt to changing circumstances in a dynamic environment. You communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing, preparing high-quality briefs, reports and correspondence tailored to diverse audiences, and contributing effectively to project delivery and team outcomes.
