OVIC provides independent oversight of the Victorian public sector's collection, use and disclosure of public sector information. Our functions are set out in the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) and the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (PDP Act).
OVIC is undertaking a project to review and optimise its current internal processes and procedures against legislative and other legal requirements and processes.
As Project Officer – Business Process Review you will be responsible for reviewing OVIC's internal processes for its functions under the FOI and/or PDP Act.
The Project Officer – Business Process Review requires strong problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills, with the confidence to engage with internal stakeholders, and manage competing priorities and stakeholders, while maintaining attention to detail. Well-developed analytical, project management and writing skills, and the ability to prepare clear recommendations and briefings together with effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues will provide the Project Officer – Business Process Review with the skills to succeed in this opportunity.
