About the Department
The Department of Education works to ensure every Victoria child has access to a great education and the opportunity to thrive. From early childhood through to school, the department provides leadership, stewardship and support cross the education system, helping create safe, inclusive and high-quality learning environments for current and future generations.
Working in partnership with schools, the early childhood sector, communities and government, we invest in the people, infrastructure and services that enable better education outcomes for all Victorians.
About the Victorian School Building Authority
The VSBA delivers one of Australia's largest education infrastructure programs, creating the schools and early learning facilities that support Victorian communities now and in the future.
Our work spans the entire education asset life cycle - from planning for future growth, designing and delivering new schools and modern learning environments, through to renewing and maintaining existing assets so they remain safe, inclusive and fit for purpose.
Our work contributes to better learning environments for children and young people across Victoria.
About the Division
Project Delivery is responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of school upgrades, modernization projects and early childhood infrastructure across Victoria.
As our programs continue to evolve, we are strengthening how we work - building a more connected, collaborative, accountable and forward-looking division that combines strong project delivery with excellent governance, planning and executive support.
Executive support plays a critical role in enabling this transformation by helping leaders stay connected, informed and focused on delivering outcomes.
About the Role
As part of a collaborative Executive Support Hub, you will help coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Project Delivery division while supporting the Executive Director and Directors to deliver one of Victoria's largest infrastructure portfolios.
Working closely with senior leaders, the CEO Office, corporate partners and project teams, you will anticipate priorities, coordinate complex activities and help ensure the division operates in a planned, organised and consistent way.
You will play an important role in improving business processes, strengthening governance and supporting better ways of working across the division. Your ability to build trusted relationships, manage competing priorities and bring order to complexity will directly contribute to the effectiveness of the leadership team.
Success in this role will come from understanding how government operates, exercising sound judgement, maintaining strong governance practices and building productive relationships across the department to help deliver outcomes for Victorian communities.
