The Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA) is a specialist project delivery organisation, responsible for delivering the biggest transport, community safety and health infrastructure program in Victorian history. This includes more than 200 projects such as the Metro Tunnel, North East Link, West Gate Tunnel, removing level crossings, new and upgraded hospitals in Footscray, Frankston and Warrnambool, and specialist programs such as the early parenting centres expansion and upgrade program.

Led by the Director-General, VIDA is comprised of the five project offices, VIDA Road, VIDA Metro, VIDA Rail, VIDA Health and VIDA Community Safety.
VIDA is established as an Administration Office under the Public Administration Act 2004 as a specialist organisation.
About this Opportunity
The Project Officer will support the delivery of complex construction projects for Victoria's emergency services agencies, contributing across project planning, reporting, procurement, stakeholder engagement and project administration.
Working as part of VIDA Community Safety, support projects through development and delivery phases, helping to prepare and maintain project plans, schedules, reports, briefs, budgets and other key documentation. Contribute to risk and issue management, procurement and payment processes, and the coordination of project meetings and action items.
This is a varied project support role requiring strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams, stakeholders and contractors. Help monitor project progress, support timely decision-making and contribute to clear, accurate and well-managed project records. Assist with process improvement activities, document control and other project site and administration tasks to support the successful delivery of community safety infrastructure projects.
About You
A capable and organised project professional with experience supporting construction, infrastructure or government project environments. Brings strong coordination skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accurate records and high-quality documentation.
Comfortable working with project schedules, procurement and invoice processes, meeting coordination, risk and issue registers, and stakeholder communications. Works well in a team environment, communicate clearly with a range of audiences and take a proactive approach to following up actions and resolving issues.
You'll bring:
• Knowledge of project lifecycle stages, project coordination processes, site management and quality control.
• Experience supporting procurement, contract management, invoice management or financial record keeping in a project or government environment.
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear project documentation, reports, briefs and correspondence for different audiences.
• Well-developed organisational skills, including the ability to monitor schedules, coordinate competing priorities and follow up actions to support timely delivery.
• Confidence building effective relationships with stakeholder
s, contractors and project teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using project management software or systems.
Key Selection Criteria
1. Demonstrated expertise or knowledge of the project lifecycle stages and processes of project and site management and quality control.
2. Expertise or knowledge of procurement and contract management, invoice management and financial record keeping in a project or government environment.
3. Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality project documentation, reports, briefs and correspondence for a range of audiences, including senior stakeholders.
4. Well-developed organisational skills, including the ability to coordinate competing priorities, monitor project schedules and follow up actions to support timely delivery.
5. Experience in site management of trades on commercial/ infrastructure projects would be an advantage.
6. Experience in Microsoft Office and use of other project management software.
Qualifications and Mandatory Requirements
An appropriate qualification in project management, construction or a proven track record of equivalent experience is desirable.
A current driver's licence is required.
