About the role
This is a Fixed Term Position until 24 December 2027.
The Project Officer supports Project Leads and Project Managers in delivering road and bridge projects safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. The role assists with planning, coordination, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and project activities that support the Department’s objectives. They may also manage non-complex projects under supervision. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate project plans and records, monitoring project progress, responding to stakeholder and customer enquiries, and ensuring compliance with project management, financial, risk, quality, and safety requirements. The Project Officer also prepares timely and accurate reports on project performance, including physical and financial progress.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
Experience supporting or managing the delivery of infrastructure projects.
Strong project coordination and delivery skills, with the ability to contribute to successful project outcomes.
Qualifications in engineering, project management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (desirable).
