The Role
The Project Officer contributes to the achievement of Small Business and Employment Branch (SBE) objectives as a member of the Capability and Networks team. The team is focused on delivering capability programs, engagement initiatives, services and support to boost Victoria's small business sector.
This role supports the design, implementation and delivery of program and project priorities in Capability and Networks team and across the broader Small Business and Employment branch. It involves program oversight and requires supplier management, stakeholder engagement, preparation of briefs, presentations and reports, and other activities that support SBE to deliver support and services for Victorian small businesses.
The Project Officer works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and takes a customer lens to program performance and participant feedback so continuous improvement/innovation opportunities are captured and small businesses benefit from fit-for-purpose support.

The position of Project Officer forms a part of the Small Business and Employment branch within the Economic Policy, Programs and Services group.
The Small Business and Employment branch fosters economic growth and job creation in Victoria by helping prospective business owners, self-employed Victorians, and small and medium enterprises to thrive in an inclusive, fair and competitive business environment.
