Project Officer
- Salary: $100,894 - $114,476 (Plus Superannuation)

The Role

Main accountabilities:
- Identify recurring problems and prevent future recurrence by integrating solutions into work process and deliver tangible business outcomes and effective solutions.
- Work to find new ways to deliver outcomes to identify strategies in situations where the existing strategy may not deliver the desired outcome.
- Share expertise and relevant information to support continuous improvement and innovation and work with the team to deliver metrics that evaluate quality and effectiveness of work delivered.
- Work collaboratively across the unit, branch and broader organisation on implementation project work; Identify opportunities to collaborate with external stakeholders and overcome barriers to communication.
The Team
The position of Project Officer forms a part of the Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery within the Skills and TAFE group.
Skills and TAFE (S&T) focuses on enabling Victorians to access the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to participate in today's workforce, prepare for future jobs, and achieve their educational aspirations.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Specialist/Technical Expertise: works closely with Manager and Senior Project officer on the analysis and translation of identified issues, risk and trends or implementation priorities to develop fit for purpose project plans and project oversight.
- Project Management: Produces project plans where objectives are clearly defined and action steps for achieving them are clearly specified; regularly communicates with and supports project team members; ensures project objectives are met by anticipating and managing potential and emerging issues.
- Planning and Organising: Identifies processes, tasks and resources required to achieve a goal; identifies more and less critical activities and operates accordingly, reviewing and adjusting as required.
